Interview Over at The Notebook Sisters

Check out an interview I did with the lovely gals over at The Notebook Sisters!

Donations for West Texas Relief

Hey guys! Hope you all are having a great week. :)

I wanted to let you know I'm offering a 1st chapter critique as part of an auction to raise money for West Texas.

Why do you want me to critique your chapter?

I'm an intern for a lit agent. I'm an author with a trilogy coming out. I have lots of experience beta-reading and critiquing chapters for people, including soon-to-be-published writers like MarcyKate Connolly and agented writers like Amandy Foody.

But the biggest reason?

It's an easy way to help raise funds for a part of the world that faced horrible tragedy last week.

And if a first chapter critique isn't your thing, there are lots of other items up for auction from awesome people! Check out the auction site:

I'm over at the YAvengers site today sharing tips (as Thor) about how to act when you meet your favorite author.

Why?

In other news, have you guys seen the Catching Fire teaser trailer yet??? What'd you think?

I have high hopes for this movie. But I do wish they'd showed Finnick and Johanna in the trailer.

Especially Finnick. Because I mean, really.

Vlog 5: The Inspiration for Extraction

I finally made another vlog! This one is in answer to the OneFourKidLit April vlog question: What is the inspiration behind your novel?

I realized while I was editing this that I could use a snippet of the Doctor Who theme song at the beginning and got super excited.

Hope you guys have a great week!

Much love,
Stephanie

Giveaway - ARC of REBOOT by Amy Tintera

Before I get to the giveaway, wanna know what I've been doing for the past several weeks? Well, maybe you don't, but I'm gonna show you anyway. :P

I'm a film major, for those who didn't know. And I'm working on my FINAL (oh thank goodness) film project before I graduate -- I've been doing production design for a zombie film.

Yup, ZOMBIES.

But not your conventional zombies. These zombies are completely cured and act like normal humans, but they still look like zombies. They face prejudices everyday.

It's a really fun project, and I thought I'd give you all a peak into it! We made a behind the scenes video of the makeup process. Turns out fake wounds are not quite as difficult to make look realistic as I thought. Observe, if you will:

If you want to know more about ZOMBIE BALL, you can follow our updates over on facebook!

And now for the main event... *drumroll*

It's time for another giveaway!

It's April 10, which means it's now less than a month until REBOOT by Amy Tintera (my lovely Stonesong sister) hits shelves on May 7. Have you NOT heard of this book?? It's fabulous.

The Back-Cover Blurb:

Five years ago, Wren Connolly was shot three times in the chest. After 178 minutes she came back as a Reboot: stronger, faster, able to heal, and less emotional. The longer Reboots are dead, the less human they are when they return. Wren 178 is the deadliest Reboot in the Republic of Texas. Now seventeen years old, she serves as a soldier for HARC (Human Advancement and Repopulation Corporation).

Wren’s favorite part of the job is training new Reboots, but her latest newbie is the worst she’s ever seen. As a 22, Callum Reyes is practically human. His reflexes are too slow, he’s always asking questions, and his ever-present smile is freaking her out. Yet there’s something about him she can’t ignore. When Callum refuses to follow an order, Wren is given one last chance to get him in line—or she’ll have to eliminate him. Wren has never disobeyed before and knows if she does, she’ll be eliminated, too. But she has also never felt as alive as she does around Callum.

The perfect soldier is done taking orders.

Doesn't that sound so rad? Trust me, this book is awesome. And you can win an advanced copy of it!

Enter via the rafflecopter below. You have until next Tuesday, April 16 at midnight EST to get your entries in! (US or Canada only)

We're Looking For More YAvengers!

My apologies for being so bad about posting lately. I'd list all of my excuses but frankly that would take too long. (Basically, college is annoying. But I must endure only 45 more days, and then I get to graduate! Huzzah!)

If you aren't aware, I also blog over at yavengers.com as Thor. Otherwise known as the god of thunder, that beautiful god with awesome hair.

This guy:

BUT ANYWAY.

The real reason I'm posting today is because my fellow superheroes and I are seeking for a couple more YAvengers to join our ranks! Particularly Black Widow, Hulk, and Hawkeye (because we all know Jeremy Renner is flawless).

Want to know more? Have no clue what the YAvengers are?
